Privacy Policy

Pick3Pools is pool-management software for World Cup prediction pools. A pool manager creates a pool, and participants pick three teams. We provide the software; we are not a gambling service and we do not collect or hold any entry fees between participants.

We keep this minimal. Specifically:

• Pool managers: your name, email address, and the details of the pool you create.
• Participants: the name and email address you enter when you join a pool, and the three teams you pick.
• Payments (managers only): when a manager pays the one-time setup fee, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details — Stripe handles that.
• Basic technical data: standard information your browser sends (such as device and usage data) to keep the service running.

We use your information only to run the pools:

• To show your name on the pool leaderboard.
• To email you about your pool — confirmation of your picks, and standings updates as the tournament progresses.
• To process the manager setup fee (via Stripe) and send a receipt.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

If a pool charges an entry fee, that money is collected by the pool manager directly — not through Pick3Pools. We never receive, hold, or transfer participant entry fees. The only payment we process is the one-time setup fee a manager pays us for the software.

We share data only with the service providers that make Pick3Pools work:

• Stripe — to process manager payments.
• Resend — to send the emails described above.
• Supabase and Vercel — to host the application and store pool data.

Your pool manager can see the participants in their own pool (names, the teams picked, and the email used to join). We do not otherwise share your information, except where required by law.

When you join a pool, you will receive a confirmation of your picks and standings updates for that pool. These are part of the pool service. If you no longer wish to receive them, contact your pool manager or reach out to us at the address below.

We keep pool data for as long as needed to run the pool and for a reasonable period afterward. You can ask us to delete your personal information (see below); note that removing an entry mid-tournament may affect a pool already in progress.

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Pick3Pools is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
